Default Gaskets

i was just wondering where you guys are buying these?

i went to my local hardware store and the guy didn't know what i was talking about?

are these HVAC system related or pluming?

was hoping for some standard sizes too? so i don't have to actually use a strip and line the inside of my cuts

thanks guys

you can pick up about 5-6 feet at walmart for 2.99, in black or chrome

you can get grommets in various sizes... but you'd probably have to find a local gasket warehouse to get them in the size you need...

I'm trying to figure out where to look for/buy the U-edging seen
in the 3rd picture in Cyberdruid's Antec 900 guide

http://www.overclock.net/case-mods-g...pictorial.html

ditto with the Grommets he's got in the 4th picture down.

are they plumbing supplies?

You may find them in the electrical dept! There are some rubber grommets made just for what you want them for.
Nick

EDIT: They are called "Cable Grommets". Here is one link I found doing a quick search.

I am going to let you in on a little secret. There is this place on the interwebz where you can find just about anything hardware related.

Now, this place I speak of can be a little difficult to navigate, which is to be expected. Like I said, they have just about everything under the sun.

Their website is catalog based and their catalog is huge. I find that it is best to use the search field. If you are persistent you will find what you are looking for.

I'll get you where you need to be for the grommets and the rubber edging...

http://www.mcmaster.com/

You will find a wide range of grommets on pg. 3626

To get there quickly just type "pg. 3626" into the search field.

Another way to get there quickly is to type "rubber grommets" into the search field.

Now, the rubber edging you are after is under "Edge Trim" on pg. 3619.
If you look under "SBR Rubber" you will find part# 8510K11.

Or you can just type "8510K11" in the search field and it will take you to the page it's on and highlight it for you.

I tried to help someone with this same subject here but everyone wanted to play with razor blades and vacuum tubing. I suppose that could work too.

Hope this helps...
