Default My first case mod and cable managment.

Well, I figured I try a little case modding. Its not perfect, but its a start. I didn'r take actual before pic, so use your imagination. Tell me what you think. I basically removed the lower drive bay frame, mounted my HDD's on each side between my optical andfloppy to give direct airflow to my RAM. I added a 120mm in front and an 80mm in the drive bay covers to blow on my RAM. I am thinking of adding some 60mm fans in the back to add exhust cfm, but it runns pretty cool as it is. The cables still need some work, but I am hoping to get something modular first.

It really isn't too great for the drives to be set like that. Gravity will begin to take its toll on the drive and the head that reads the discs.

Physical mounting of the drive:
WD drives will function normally whether they are mounted sideways or upside down (any X, Y, Z orientation). Of course, the physical design of your system may limit the positions in which the drive can be mounted. However, in all cases, you should mount the drive with all four screws for good grounding. Also ensure that there is enough air space around the drive for adequate air flow, and avoid mounting the drive near sources of excessive heat (such as some CPUs).
