depends on how big an area your talking about. I used an exact o razor and heated it up then cut through the acrylic like a knife through hot butter. Requires a steady hand. Dremel works good to but tape off the area where you will be cutting that will help from cracking.

Could anyone say make a little guide in this thread on the different ways to do it?

It would probably be an 80 or 120mm fan port hole sized area

Draw your circle where you want it placed. Use masking tape and tape the area outside the lines on both sides this will help from cracking or damaging the area that your not cutting. Use a dremel to cut out the circle area or use a exact-o knife and heat it up and carefully cut around the line.

SO basically when the knife is heated it just cuts right through it?

Router and template FTW but a dremel on a mini-trammel would work.

EDIT: Also, acrylic can get pretty sharp - careful.

A 4.5" hole saw should work well. Run it in reverse and give it slight pressure. Take your time and let the hole saw do the work.

If you do use the drilling dremel route make sure to keep the speed low to prevent melting.
