Default grounded mobo

ok so this maybe a hell of a noob question, but does a mobo need to be grounded to a case(metal). cuz i was thinking about mounting a mobo on somthing like plexy-glass...

Does a mobo need to be grounded? Well if you look closely to a motherboard you will see that the mounting holes are isolated from the rest of the board. Ground will run from your 20 pin connector to the psu and from there on to the wall socket. So you don't need to ground your motherboard.

I've set and seen many reviews put the mobo on top of a motherboard box (painted cardboard) and it works just fine. So either use case standoffs or just stick it on their, either way plexiglass isn't conducting electricity.

well i kinda meant grounded back to the psu but i guess ur sayin that the 20(24) pin connector will do all the grounding that i need, so the mobo doesnt use the case as a way to ground its self to the psu...
