I love my TT Armor case because of the nice spongy-type filters they have on the front faceplates, but all the dust and crap still comes through because of the gaps between all the faceplates. I was thinking about maybe trying to find a nice sheet of mesh or something to put behind these faceplates so it would cover up (and filter out) everything in between the cracks. Almost like the window screening material, but of course something finer than that. Having it in a big sheet would be nice so I could just run it from the top of the case straight down to the bottom and out to the sides.

Hmmm, I have the same case, love it! Dust doesn't seem to be much of a problem for me though, good luck!

Same here actually, I've had the case for..hm..well over a year and a half now and I've had no 'dust problems'. I clean off the vents and filters every so often to keep up air flow, only minimal dust comes through. Nothing a quick blast of air can't fix.
If you are worried tho, you might want to check out craft stores and such like Michaels or otherwise, you might be able to find very light and porous(sp?) foam that will help provide decent air flow while denying the 'invading dust from the cracks' access to your system.

Well I'm not having a huge problem... I was just wondering if anyone else has come up with some ideas around here. Something along the lines of putting cheesecloth or the Swiffer pads in front of fans to help catch more dust and stuff. I'm was just wanting something that looks nice also. No big deal, was just curious...

Use black pantyhose.

Can you not just use standard fan dust filters?

I ran out of my canned air a couple of months ago...
__________________![]() Are you talking about the ones that just go over the fan and nothing else? That wouldn't help much since I only have one 120mm (huge fan, not sure on size exactly) blowing in from the front. I have 5 empty faceplates just sitting there along with the 3 1/2 drive bay, all these equal to 9 "naked" slots between all these faceplates for dust to get in. It's not like my 'puters guts are caked in dust, I would just like to cut down on the dust intake as much as possible, as easiest as possible, and as cheap as possible. I'll just stick with Duckie's pantyhose idea!
