Has anyone here ever modded a Dell XPS 700/720 case to work with a standard ATX motherboard. The case is set up for the BTX form factor, but there aren't a whole lot of boards to choose from.

id have to assume you just have to mod the rack for the PSU and whatnot
not alot of people actually Mod Dell machines.\ it actually voids your warranty

Yeah, but I bought the case and PSU only and they are used, so no warranty involved. However, it's not the power supply that i'm worried about. The BTX motherboards are totally reverse of the ATX motherboards. They are like mirror images of each other, so lots of modifications are required to get an ATX mobo in there. If that's even possible.

Here is a picture of the back of the case. I took the picture from the seller's website.

I'm sure with a bit of modding that could easily be changes to ATX...Btw, where are you planning on buying this case? I looked on the red planet trading website and I didn't see it :s

If you can easily replace the entire back IO section of the case then yes, it could be done easily

Instead of doing all that work why don't you just buy a different case, make it easy on yourself. You actually want people thinking you have a dell?????
