what did you use to engrave it?

For maximum light defraction your engraving needs to have right angles perpendicular to the face of the acrylic.

Crude drawing:

----|___|----

Where the channel is actually a portion (line, radius, etc) of your engraving.

yeah i know. i been modding for a while:P i just didnt want to use the engraving bit and wanted to see how this would turn out. looks like im going back for the real bit.

i did it with a stone grinding bit. looks decent considering it felt like i was drawing on ice.

I had the same problem on Lexan with a dremel so I went out and bought a sand blaster, a very small one with 220 grit blast medium. I will let you know how it goes.
