Going Broke Overclocking

The mounting screws will likely ground the device and there is also an internal ground in the circuit wiring.

The power supply will ground the board, but like The Duke says, the mounting posts, when threaded into the MB tray, will cut through the paint and allow for a solid ground between the motherboard and case.

I am running an Acrylic case and see no issues.
Well I did have one issue with a CCL light I installed. High frequency from a lead was freezing the mobo So no doubt a metal chassis would help with that sort of shielding. It's not just electrical earthing but the shielding of EMT that the case does--and I believe that is pretty much a small factor.
