Problem my file server has reached its hard drive capacity and I need to add more. I no longer have room in the current case for more hard drives. I have a really big server tower that I have had sitting around for a while. It’s an Hp and I have gutted it. The problem is if had 6 hot swap SCSI trays but I don’t have any of the slides to put hard drives there. I am looking for ways to mod it to put SATA hard drives in.
I am thinking about just ripping it out and replacing with an icage or a cooler master accessory. I would have to find a way to secure these to the case but this is my best looking option so far. Are there any other bay converters that could be used to replace the old housing? EDIT!!!! Model Gateway 2000 NS-5000 Pics Two images of the inside of the SCSI quick swap bays. ![]() ![]() Here is the outside of the Quick swap SCSI tray that ![]() Are there any other ideas or suggestions on how to mount the up? Thanks.

"I don’t have any of the slides to put hard drives there."
As you know there are a bunch of different types of slides for mounting drives. Do you have a pic of one? Perhaps someone knows where to get them!

I wish I did. Due to the fact that I am in college I left the case at home so I don't have pics or the model number of the case. If I can get either I will update with that information.
FYI: This mod and transplant of the system are scheduled for my thanksgiving break. Edit: no not enough 5.25 bays to convert to 3.5. Need room for 8 HD. on 4x 5.25 in the "new" case
