I have a friend here, he works at a automotive frame shop. He said he can powder coat my case for 15 bucks. Anyone have this done? Is this good? I know it won't scratch, because he said he will wet sand the entire thing? Just looking for some input. Thanks!

powdercoating is the best paint method possible, your crazy not to do it for $15, then toss him a $10 tip, your getting a steal!

the wheels on my lancer evolution are powdercoated gloss black. if it can hold up to that, a case would be no problem.
Its actually a great idea, i never even thought of that...

Powder Coating PC cases usually costs $100-200. I saw some site offering the service awhile ago. Will he do other people's cases?

I am compelled to re-state what has already been said:
If your friend will powder coat for $15.00-$20.00, then you need to run on down there and get it done. That kind of a deal does not come along very often. Hmmm... I understand that powder-coating involves electron charges. The paint and the part to be painted are polar opposites... that being the case, will aluminum take a power coat? ![]()
