Hey guys.

For the past couple of months, I've been looking at the Coolermaster Cosmos, but I've been a little hesitant. The reason is, every Cosmos I've seen has barely any cable management. I've seen one site say that the reason is that the space between the back of the motherboard tray and the case side panel is very small and thus you can't route any cables behind the motherboard tray; Is this true?

Also, if there's anyone here who has a Cosmos and has done some nice cable management with it (routing the cables behind the mobo tray), could you please post it in this thread?

I'd like to get this case but this is the only issue that worries me.

Not great pics of the cable management, however I have cracked open a Cosmos, and it looks like it is really easy and well made for cable management.

Yes I have seen that one. Although, they don't show the back side of it and I asked on their forum today and they said this:

I dunno, I'd rather not buy a case and then have to dremel it

it is bad the slot above the mobo is unusable which kills the whole cable management if you ask me
if you look at how the right side panel attaches it doesnt allow for wires to come out the top slot

What about around the back though, can wires still be placed back there? I don't really mind if they can't come out the top slot.

Unless you have some REALLY LONG cables, you wouldn't be able to use the upper slot for cable management. It's not for cable management though, it's for underside airflow.

Took about an hour to figure out the best layout. I still need to go back and re-arrange the back side a little, and I need to reposition the SATA and PCI-E cables a little. The motherboard power extension needs to be sleeved as well as the 12v for my optical drive. But, all the wires are pretty much resting on the motherboard tray. It's all out of the way and I have excellent airflow. The picture doesn't really do it justice though. It actually looks much cleaner when you're looking at it in person.

xenophobe, what I meant was, can you take your PSU cables, stick them through the hole beside the PSU and then route them back up the motherboard tray and out through the notches in the center of the case?

I'm sure you could do it if you drilled a hole right at the power supply then tuck the cables behind the motherboard tray
