Default College Assignment. Stacker 810

Ok, so my assignment for my Introduction to Operating Systems is to oddly enough, write a paper or make a website about my computer. I am going to have to go over everything about my computer, from top to bottom. Now this has inspired me to go a little bit beyond. I plan on after getting the site done, updating it whenever I make changes to it. Now why is this being posted in Case Mods you ask? Because I plan on modding my case. Painting the frame will be the first step. I am not entirely sure how to go about this so if you have any helpful suggestions, by all means share.

So getting all of this done by the end of the semester did not pan out but I still got my paper in for an A and I am still working on painting my case. I am going to go for an Iron Man build. Tragically in my daring and silly ways, I wanted to try something new on my case and sprayed the entire interior with Duplicolor vehicle undercoat to try and cut down on noise from all the fans it will have. It wasn't until I was done that I thought to myself "hey I wonder what the thermal tolerance is of this stuff." Once I talked to my friend who seemed to have worked with it before said it was probably around 40-50C. This is very much unacceptable plus the chance for it to start fuming. Anyone have any other input?

Here are some reference photos for so everyone can see what I have to work with and throw some suggestions.

EDIT: Well still learning about how posting works on this forum so much editing.

I can't see what a report about your own computer has to do with operating systems, but good luck.

When it comes to painting a computer chassis, I tend to opt for spray paints at my local car accessories store. For a good job be sure to layout a base coat, in either white or black, and finish off with some clear laquer.

Thanks for the interest. In terms of my budget, I plan on doing the actual mods over a good while since I only have to write about my computer and post a few pics on the site I make but I will also update that also when I can. I know I will probably end up using a small sander, a Dremel and one of those spray paint can gun attachments. Not sure what else I may need. Any idea what Dremel bit I should use to cut through the case metal? I want to make some modifications for cable management.

And the custom fan mount for my PC-319. Shoddy I know but I used what was available at my work.

All of this is going to have to come off as it wont take as much heat as I thought. Sigh...

dimond bits are a little expensive, but Harbor Freight should have them pretty cheap. You will have to keep cleaning the bits after long time of cutting... the bit fills up with metal

Thanks for the info, for now I am still needing to clean off the undercoating. I haven't had time yet though...
