When I decide to finally undo my amazing cable managment, and measure up my PSU wires, then finally order parts I will do this. I keep seeing this thread, and get real excited for the project cause I love clean black cable sleeving... but then I get scared knowing that everyone has nice colored wires, and all of my PSU wires are silver, so I have to lable EVERYTHING.

Oh, i love my PSU, nice long cables, no unslightly cable colors, nice chrome finish... but now I want my unslightly cable colors to make things easy on me.

I can't get any of the wires out of the connectors. My computer is torn apart, and I want to sleeve the psu if I can. I've used a a paper clip and a small screwdriver (like the kind for glasses) to get the wires out but I can't. I've tried pushing them back up and getting the clip to release it but it won't budge. Help, please.

The ATX and molex connectors actually have 2 clips to hold the pins in place.

I got 1 line of connectors done in about 3 hours. I think it looks like crap too. I'm going to run out of 1/4th heat shrink too. I'll finish tomorrow. Don't understand why the kit I got came with a foot of 1" heat shrink....where am I supposed to use the 1" heat shrink other than the motherboard connector? It also won't shrink down to the size of 1/4" sleeving. Can I just use zip ties instead of the heat shrink?

I've noticed that a lot of sleeving kits don't come with the enough heatshrink. Zip-ties can be used at the ends; but leaving them as-is isn't as aesthetically pleasing; I generally use zip-ties to secure the ends of the braid then cover that with the heatshrink.
