Hello, I just finished my first mods on my CM690. I cut a window in the case, and painted the inside and some of the outside of my case (see pics below). I want to attept to etch some of my game tags onto part of the window, I have never etched before. I bought the proper bit from home depot for etching.

I need some links about how to etch.. I know I saw a good thread on it a while back but I can't seem to find it.

What would you guys recommend for lighting the edges of the acrylic to make the etching stand out? I was thinking maybe EL wire?

What other mods would you guys suggest I do to the case, I am pretty much up for anything at this point.

Great panting job, I would say, get yourself some multi colored cold cathodes of different lengths 4" 6" 12" maybe some reds, blues, some greens, and have them hidden but where the lights blend together and look awesome, just stay away from plain blue cathodes and led fans! I'm so sick of seeing them, even walmart sells blue led fans now

Thanks alot .. haha all my fans are blue l.e.d .. hmm when I put in my pc components tonight, I will start taking some measurments to get some ideas on what size cathodes I can fit in there.. What do you think of a mix of purple and green cathodes? I think it would be an interesting mix.. I know for sure I don't want red cathodes (just not my taste). Im gunna go threw the picture gallery to get some ideas.

Definitely got some cold cathodes in there. Also, perhaps a window in those empty front drive bays, so you can see into the case from the front. I like windows in funky places...

Well two of the empty ones are already taken, but you just gave me an idea.. What if I put a window in three remaining empty drive bays and cut a mirror (or other reflective surface) to fit along the top bottom and sides of the drive slots, so no matter how you look into the front window you only see the inside of the case and not the empty drive bays??... Hmm I am going to have to look at my case for awhile and try and imagine what that would look like, lol.

I am almost done with a project on a cm690, ti will be done by friday. Then I will be posting a video of my case, watch it and get some ideas! lol for now, it is all a secret...

lol, aw man I hate waiting. No preview?? I won't tell nowone . Hmm I guess I can stealth my drive, thats pretty simple, I gotta see if I can find the drive plates so I can blend in my fan controller to.. The damn lights on those sunbeam fan controllers are blinding.

So far..
Possible drive bay window
Stealth drive and semi stealth fan controller
Get some unique colored cold cathodes
