Cutting Antec 900 back pannel help/opinions
Alright so I had this idea. I would cut out the OCN flame on my back side pannel, get some blue-transparent acrylic, and some blue led's and stick them all behind it. With the proper execution, it SHOULD turn out to be a nice large glowing blue OCN flame on the backside of my computer. I just have some questions about how I should cut the case. I have been reading and I have see jig saws and rotary tools. Would a jig saw be enough to cut out the basic design (very basic) of the flame, and then I could use a sanding drum on the rotary tool to sand down the metal into nice curves.
As for the dark blue parts in the middle of the flame, I would just cut them out and glue them to the transparent blue acrylic. Sound like a good or bad idea? Anyways just looking for some input on it. I already did the wire management mod on my 900, as was looking for something unique, Not sure if anyone has done this before. Anyways, thanks for any help! you have an old case to try it out on,i would,use a rotorary cutting wheel then some sharpe tin snipes,to finish use small file with sand paper or yull bend the tin,just some ideas

Jigsaws are hard to be accurate with. I typically use a dremel with a metal cutting attachment. I've tried the jigsaw method and ended up hacking a piece of metal into an unrecognizable shape...

i am gona grab a rotary tool to do this job.
I changed my plans a bit for the overall. I am gona add glow wire to the outside of the flame. Also i have to do it in the top right hand 1/4 of the back panel (which is still a large space). Just gotta grab my 2nd 8800GT then raise some money to get the materials for this! I'm excited
