This is the list of modding guide.

http://www.overclock.net/case-mods-g...ing-guide.html
This one teaches you how to paint it.

edit:
I am also starting this "painting" too. Though, I think base color is enough, then you can just put clear cover over it.

No problem. You don't really need the color, but I do think you need the clear,to protect the base color. Or so I think.

shifty did a $.96 mod to his centurion which he painted (black) with just a single can. It's really easy and would probably be impressive enough, but that's really up to you.

if you want it to come out really good you should try these steps: (1) sand it, you do this so that the paint will stick better. (2) primer - 2 coats should do. (3) paint - 2 or 3 coats should be fine. (4) clear coat - 2 or 3 coats should be fine. if you do it like this and take your time, it will look really sharp! or, you can do like i did, and just wash it, tape it and paint. the only problem with doing it that way is that the paint will chip very easy! i mean very easy, hense thats why you should sand and primer first. if you dont sand and primer, and just go the easy way, the case will still come out ok, you just have to be really careful with it. putting everything inside the case is going to be difficult without scatching it some where. basically is your case, your decision. good luck!

From the guide linked above:
Quote:
After sanding take your case and clean it with soap and water. And then do the final cleaning with your tack cloth, or denatured alcohol and rags.
That's probably the most important line in the whole guide. I might differ slightly with that last bit however. (and this may well be semantics) Always wipe down your project with a tack cloth immediately before spraying.

The two biggest nemesis to painting, from puff can to downdraft paint booth, are dust and fisheye.

Fisheye is when an impurity (usually oil based) is on the surface, preventing good ashesion of the paint. The paint runs away from the spot, even if its all but microscopic... leaving a blemish in the paint. Think the old Dawn dish soap commercials when they drop a drip of soap in the greasy water. A spec of oil from your hand, an atomized droplet of Armor All, anything of that sort can cause fisheye. So be sure to clean your work thoroughly before spraying.

Second, and this you will encounter more often than the fisheye, is DUST. It's everywhere, and you are going to have it where you work, no matter what steps you take to avoid it. There are ways to "repair" dust in a paint job, but they take a lot more work and time than a lot of DIY types are often willing to invest. The one single thing you can do to help prevent dust in your paint work, more than anything in my experience, is you guessed it -- that tack cloth. Use it, and love it.

Good luck!
