Default help with dremel problem..

ok so im cutting my case.. but the damn dremel is eating the cutting disks like nothing.. i get about 10-12 " and then bam no more disk.. its all worn down..

am i doing something wrong??

im cutting aluminum.. trying to make my rad cut out.. and my windows cut out..

i got 1/4 of my windows cut.. and 1/2 of my rad hoel cut.. but i only have 2 more disks..

what am i doing wrong?!

make sure you go the same way as the disk is spinning, and are you using the reinforced or normal disks

they snap easy anyways, i went thought 11 to cut a big retagle out the front of my case,

I found that forcing it to cut made me go through disks like crazy. So then I just guided it along.

well rad cut out it done.. now only 1 disk left to cut big window....

If you`re using the skinny abrasive discs, they will wear out fast with this type of cutting. However, that`s the only way you will get a smooth cut into those materials. If you use the little sawblade it will tear up aluminum or plexi. Try to find the larger diameter abrasive discs ( about 1 1/4" diameter ) at Lowes, Home Depot or Ace Hardware.

The reinforced discs will last about 4x longer, yet cost 4x as much. Don't push hard, let it do the work. don't put the dremel in the cut and have it cut continuously, guide it over the metal to make a groove that gets deeper and deeper the more you run the dremel over it.
