Well...I started reading the site and I fell in love with the idea of modding a PC. But I figured I'd have a learning curve so I used an old case I had lying around. I asked my son (he's 12) what he wanted...he said he wanted it to be green. So the choice might not have been my first choice
__________________ I'm new to this so please be gentle with me LOL.I wanted to try out cable routing and repainting a case. I also swapped the original blue fans with green, and added a green cathode tube. Here are a couple of shots of the PC before I started. ![]() Here it is in it's old spot on the floor. ![]() Pretty much your standard Super Lanboy case. ![]() The cable routing mess on the inside. ![]() And after some changes... ![]() Here it is in it's new home. Unfortunately my flash overpowered my green glow The glow did turn out good, but can't get a picture that looks quite right.![]() Side shot. Cables are routed a bit better, though this board actually has lousy placement of some of the connections (ATX being one). You can kinda see where I cut out a few of the hard drive rails to allow for better airflow. ![]() Here is a shot of the front of the case after painting. Man the flash really shows fingerprints Did manage to chip the paint putting the door back together. I should have clear coated...but the garage was darn cold ![]() ![]() Here it is with the front door open. Did I do ok for a first try? I feel ok about it, but I'm looking for pointers on what didn't turn out well. Thanks for your feedback.

Nice!
The PSU cover was a nice touch too. You took a horrid color (sorry to your son, but that green's nasty! ), and really made it all come together.Great work!
