hi there everyone, not sure if im aasking this in the right place, but ive just discovered that there are things that exist in the world called modular power supplies. bassically, are they any good? what are the pros and cons? i wonder why ive never seen these before?????????? cheers everyone

You might have better luck in the power supplies forum: http://www.overclock.net/power-supplies/
Basically, I like them, a lot of other people do as well. Sometimes people say that they are sketchy due to the connections. Not really sure.

The other forum would be a better place to ask, but regardless:
Pros, less cables to wrangle. Looks pretty. Good for tight spaces (depending on the model - HiperX has HUGE connectors) Cons, connection prone to mechanical failure. Generally not much to worry about.

I guess it's just a case of which one you get, the connectors on my Enermax are rather like the connectors for PCI-E graphics cards, there's no way they're going to fail/disconnect.
