pretty simple, I have no idea how to wire LEDs into a computer at all. I'm entering the armature case mod contest, but i need to know how to install LEDs otherwise the mod just won't look as cool
![]() Also, any other advice that you could offer like: wiring, or how to make them stand out the most; would be appreciated ![]()

I read through it, it seems to confirm what i know. I just haven't calculated the required resistance for the resistors.
EDIT* Doh double post, I meant to edit previous one.

The other thing that could potentially help you is there are LED holders you can purchase. Their sizes are dictated by the LED size (3mm, 5mm, ect...) so you need to know that.
Radio Shack has them, but they are pricey there. If you can wait, there's a couple LED shops on eBay that ship from Hong Kong. They also sell "pre-wired" LEDs cheaper than you can buy them with the resistors already soldered in place ![]() Here's The One and This Store has a wide variety of LED products including the holders.

Something i'm really wanting to know is where do you put the ends of the wires; (stupid question i know) I'm not a person that is electrically savvy
![]() Where exactly do you either solder or hook them up to.

also if you are so inclined you can take some sand paper and sand the LED's down so they are flat all you really need to make light is the small part in the middle the rest is just polycarbonate and can be removed without any problems other than slightly dimmer light output
this is usefull because although they make flat LED's they are still sorta big doint this can make a normal 5mm LED as small as 2mm and the 3mm LED's as small as a 1mm surface mount LED, so it can be put anywhere you like but be small enough so it isnt seen also you dont have to solder those really small surface mount LED's which is almost imposable to do

The only thing I would say needs a little work: For electrical engineering noobs (such as myself), you should put why you chose the 75ohm resistor when using the 5V line of the PSU to that particular LED.
