Mobo tray for universal application? Integrated desk/case idea
OK, I have been thinking of modding my desk into a PC case. If you look at the cubby on the right side of my 22", there is just enough room to use for PC hardware. I was thinking of mounting the mobo in the bottom with PCI slots towards the back. I would then mount the PSU and hdd's either above or below (removing the drawer). I was planning to run coolant lines up to the top of the hutch and have the rad sitting up there. This would be kinda cool as: 1) less cat fur in my rad since it is off the floor. 2) much easier to swap out things as there is no case and everything is in the open.
I would put some fans in the back to help cool the mobo etc. as well as a plexi front to help protect it from my wandering animals and dust etc. What do you think?
