Wow, Cattle! Your work really does make me want to mod my Cosmos. It actually looks feasible now, and I don't have to turn my case into a freaking Benz or anything to get great airflow.

Cheers!

hey iv been looking at your cable management and loved on how it looked! so thanks to you i tried it on my cosmos and now it looks really clean! this was my first time modding a case too. the only problem im having is that the side door wouldnt close, even with the foam off! so i unscrewed everything and left 4 screws on each corner, and it fits! but i had to force it in. so i was wondering how your cable management looked from the other side of the mobo?

anyways this is how my cosmos looks now.

thanks again for the cable mod!

very nice ace25. I have the same exact problem with the right side panel and the foam removed, it wont stay closed. I am going to cut part of the upright beam to make a slot so the wires dont bulge and mess up the door. Its a common problem with these cases. I dont have any pics of the side panel tho. When my current project is done (linked in sig) I will be putting this case back under the knife, just havent had time

yep raffy

I was able to solve the problem of the side panel not closing by using a small hobby metal file to file down the inside surface of the 4 clawhooks that hold the door closed. By widening the space between the crossbar and the inside of those hooks, it allows the door to close properly and stay shut with all the cords pressed against the foam and all.

Just a suggestion for those struggling with that poorly designed door.

good info, it definitely appears to be a manufacturing defect, or a zero-tolerance on the hooks once you have anything between the door and the back of the mobo pan that makes slight contact/pressure on the door. Ill keep that in mind when I fix her up
