I will be building a new rig in the Lian Li pc-7 plus
![]() I don't want to go do the traditional blue or solid green look but something interesting. cathode selection I was thinking white cathodes one on bottom and one on top or side. I also need pointers where to mount them because i've never worked with them. As well as light blue fans. Not overly glaring but nice Linky Keep in mind Cathodes will be white and Zerotherm Nirvana will be blue I was thinking these aero cool fans. But i do not know which is best: Just shinny, Blue, White http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16835129246 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16835129241 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16835129043 All opinions are appreciated. And one last thing. Should i wait for P45 since it's coming the end of the month? I will be using an 8800gt but for further upgrades?

Honestly, after you put in your motherboard, that's the time to do the mounting so that you can see where they will fit. How bright do you want it to be? I have 6 Cold Cathodes in my case. 4 x UV Cold Cathodes and 2 x Green Cold Cathodes that are hooked up a sound inverter. I would get 2 whites and 2 blues and place them next to each other so they complement each other. For mine, I've got it like this. Near the mobo, 1 UV, both Greens. On the far end of the bottom near the window the other UV. Then 1 UV on the top of the case near the exhaust fan and 1 UV above the motherboard on the back of the case. All the UV Reactive material gets plenty of UV light so it glows really nicely.
I hope that helps ya. But I would really try to get them all around the inside of your case. 1 or 2 on the bottom, 1 on top of your motherboard to give lighting for the middle of your case and 1 on top of your case if you have room. Just make sure the colors look perfect to you after all, you'll be the only one who will be able to see it. As far as fans go, go with the first or the last fans you have posted. Those have the better airflow of the 3 but only the last one has LED's in it. I personally have AC Ryan 120mm fans and they have UV LED's inside them to make the fan glow. Might as well wait I mean, prices are only going to get cheaper.

All white would be a bit boring, White cathodes and blue fans would go well I think. I'm gonna be buying more fans and some cathodes soon I need to decide as well lol. Good luck.

I still like the other 2 for air flow. This one is a little low but it does have blue LEDS. But also, remember, you can always use Electro Luminescent wire or strands of LEDS around the fan to give it the color you want.
