i sergested carpet when i was gona go caseless on my server while i mod its case and everyone said noooooo so i went with cardbaod and that worked fine now its in half its case half painted so it going well cant posts pics of it yet as i done have internet at home limited to work internet grrr no internet is killing me lol

Absolutely not true, you don't have to avoid carpet at all. Carpeting can NOT hold any sort of electric charge and therefore can't hold or discharge any static electricity, nor can it short circuit anything on the motherboard.
