Default going caseless for a few days.....

I'm going to be painting and adding lights, fans, windows and doing some serious cable management so I'm going to be without a case for a few days.

whats surface should i set the mobo on and what other precautions should i take so I dont mess anything up.

thanks

I'd set the motherboard ontop of your cardboard motherboard box.

Avoid carpet at all costs.

Just put it on a Anti-static bag if you have one, but you'll be fire if you just put it on your motherboard's box. Keep it away for anything metal and plastic that crackles... and cats...

The anti-static bag is static on the outside.

Anyways, just use the mobo box.

I screwed the standoffs in place as supports and set it on a box. This way, there is some clearance between the board and the support surface. nice to have some air under it

Lay out a thing layer of steel wool on carpet and you'll be fine.
