Going Broke Overclocking

In the past, I've used as coarse as 800 grit to sand Lexan (Polycarbonate) plastic and polish with superb results since in the day 800 was the finest available. Finer grits amke the polishing process less labor intensive.
That 800 grit job was for the door glass (Lexan) of Riddler Award contender at the Detroit AutoRama, it took second place ![]()

Is there any other way to polish other than using a flame?

Sand it smooth with a high-grit sandpaper then apply some plastic scratch remover (e.g. Novus #2) and hit it with a cloth buffing wheel.
