I dont think they make uv gel pens in black

if you are dead set on painting that thing, you could try and find a way to block off most of the fin surface except for all the leading edges and about an 1/8th inward, and paint it. it will appear mostly black, but with a copper core. you should fine some sort of material that will block the paint and stay in place, maybe something like rubber inserts between each fin. thats a lot of inserts and alot of work, for a mediocre result imho.

Even if you did paint that whole thing, I can guarantee runs on the leading planes, due to the shallow spray angle, and you wont get all the way inside the fins on any one pass, the front will be taking way too much paint.

you'd have to find out how hot the fin edges get under maximum cpu load, then see if you can find out if there is any issue with temperature with regards to the hiliter pen ink.

maybe this is where your stock cooler can help. hilite a few fins and run your cpu under load. see if it messes it up. if not you could try a few harder to see fins on the zalmann. if all ok, do all the fins
