Default First case mods...To Come

Hi all, i have seen all of these mods on here and i thought to myself that i will get an old cas to do some mods to. So i poked around the garage and found this case:

I think this is quite a good case to start off with. It is quite big inside and i quite tall, so some cool mods could be done here!

I have only thought of a couple of mods so far:

1. Side window
2. Front grills (for fans)

Any ideas welcome

Slim

A good paint job. Tan/gray is so '80s.

how about a mix of black and some other vibrant color ?
dont get me wrong, I like black, but there are a lot of black, blue, green, red mods around, so maybe spice it up a little? But I know, its your case, and if you want black, youll have black

good luck

Just off the top of my head, I would definitely fill that floppy drive slot at the top (bondo it smooth).

If you cut a vent in the front, I would keep it along the front 'body lines' (if you'd call them that, lol). The humps/ridges that go inward toward the bottom. I would make a "V" shaped vent (more or less) to flow with those ridges. Some nice modders mesh or something and a LED fan behind it would look nice.

On the back, the fan grill has definitely got to go! I would consider cutting out the vent at the bottom where the PCI slots are and putting some nice modders mesh behind that as well. It would look better than the drilled hole looking vent that's there now. And don't quote me on this, but depending on the age of the case, you might have to cut that PSU hole a little to make it fit a current ATX style PSU (the mounting holes are a little different). Definitely check that.

Maybe some case feet as well?

Just my thoughts off the go. It does look a nice platform to work off of!
