can someone tell me what the action is on a switch like this?
The double throw is throwing me ![]() does it mean that when you press it, it clicks locked and the circuit stays closed even tho the button comes back up, until you press it again, or is it just a regular momentary push button switch? confused

The double throw indicates that it has a common in addition to a normally open (NO) contact and a normally closed (NC) contact. Since it's a momentary switch it shorts to the NO while the button is being held; latching action is when you press/release to toggle the state.

Say you had wires A B and C. Switch off means that A and B are connected, while switch on means A and C are connected. If you got rid of wire B it would just act like a regular SPST NO switch.
In other words: if A was +12V, B was a red LED and C was a blue LED, switch up = red LED is on, siwtch down = blue LED is on.

I just realized I should have known thisthis was the same issue when I got that uv lamp cc for the gumdrop build and it had a pci plate switch with three prongs, only using two, and I wanted to remove it and use my own spst toggle on the back of the case elsewhere (which I ultimately did). This was sorta the same issue but presented in a different way. I just need to remember spdt = 3 prongs, one is common the other two are mutually exclusive thanks again
