Danylu ~ Yes. A jigsaw will do the job. Additionally, it is advised to use a specialised blade. There are 2 kinds; one for > 1/8", and and another for < 1/8".

Tapping acrylic really isn't tat difficult; much the same as tapping metals, just I prefer using water rather than cutting oils for tapping plastics (some cutting fluids/greases may contain chemicals that can attack the acrylic).
