Default Rebuilding my system (lots of pictures)

So I got a new HSF for my rig, and I decided to tear it apart, modify, clean, etc. everything, and then put it back together. I'm pretty much done now, and I apologize for the lack of 'in the process' pictures, stupid camera was recharging. I still need to lap my CPU and maybe the HSF, my Noctua is pretty flat already though. Questions/comments/suggestions are more than welcome. Thanks for reading.

Before. Dirty, dusty, nasty wires, etc.

Mounting kits for my new HSF

Noctua NF-P12 fan

Noctua NH-U12P

Base, straight out of the box
(I think it needs to be lapped, what do you think?)

Rear fan, speaker, and front I/O panel run underneath the motherboard

Front fan, sata cables, power/reset panel run behind hard drive cage

Much cleaner I think~

As you maybe had noticed, I turned the hard drives around so the connectors aren't visible. I had to slightly modify the Armor Jr.'s HDD cage to get both HDDs to fit. I Dremel'd off some of the cage as it was blocking the HDDs by about 5mm

Pesky ATX power cable, too thick to put anywhere! It's shoved into empty 5.25" bays and through the power/reset mount.

Back side of the case, quite packed~

And after! Much cleaner, wires are more controlled. New case fans were mounted, 2x 120mm Antec Tri-Cool. Noctua is running full speed, I can't hear it over my music right now.

Anyways, that's it for now. I still need to do some lapping and clean the front panel out. Will update with more pictures of the lap and such later. Thanks for your comments and suggestions!

Looks great
Might I suggest sleeving your PSU with black or blue to match LEDs..?

Looks good but man do I hate the colouring of that fan..

Sleeving the PSU is on the to-do list, I just haven't purchased any wire sleeve or molex tools. Is there a kit that anyone knows to be good?

performance-pcs.com has sleeving kits in many colors, and you can paint the fan with some black laquer paint. Not sure why laquer instead of regular acrylic enamel, but I have seen it done that way. Check out Bill Owen's fan Turbine mod on mnpctech.com, I think he says why he uses laquer on the fan

wires look much improved, good job, +rep

Thanks for the info Cattle. I will probably pick up a black sleeving kit once I get more money. The somewhat unattractive Noctua fan I may be replacing with a 88cfm Yate Loon as per http://benchmarkreviews.com/index.ph...&limitstart=14, so I think it's not going to get painted.

I also have it in my head to maybe paint the inside of the case a flat black to match the outside. How would I go about disassembling my case to be painted, and what steps should I take to get a nice paint job?

as far as painting the case, since theres a lot to explain you might be better off searching for paint threads and tutorials on this site. also mnpctech has case painting videos which are good.

Only thing I have to point out is why in the world would someone color a fan that 2 tone brown? Nothing personal against the OP, but that fan is ugly. Scratch that. That fan is hideous. Again, nothing personal against the OP or his rig, just an opinion.
Otherwise, Nicely done!
