With a simple mod of replacing my side 80mm fan with this 120mm thermaltake thunderblade with aid from a hole saw, my computer has become a freeze box. I have an amd 3500+ O.C. to 2.700ghz and its idle/load went from 32/49C all the way down to 25/36C!! That is an amazing change and just goes to show anyone that if you have the right setup, even air can seem as good as water cooling. Plus my setup actually runs quieter then most water cooling setups and its just so cool to finally do this. Just be careful because lexan does crack and you must go very slow to avoid burning, cracking, melting it in a way that is permenant.
Its not done yet though, I am waiting for the blue fan grills as these are green and don't match my case so I am just going for a completly different color, but orders these by accident. edit: Also these temps are consistent with an even higher overclock of 2.800 ghz as well! w00t for air!! EDIT AGAIN....I take that back it now idles at 23C...25C isle was with fans at slwo speed...just crazy...!

ive always have had great luck air cooling... the right heatsink /fan combo can do the job just as well as water.... and then you need not to worry about leaks!

I'm telling you, that side intake does make a big difference. Good job.

You are like the billionth person to think its UV edge guard lol. Its actually clear edge molding for a car and I ran El Wire through it to give it that effect. Its actually lighted so you can see it nomatter what. Its acutally a cool mod and it looks awsome in person. ![]() I actually have no Uv lighting in my computer so all that is just either EL wire or cathodes.... Also, now I am at 2.750 ghz and still at 24 idle, 35C load.
