Default So, gonna start a new case mod soon...

Gonna try to make one that is kinda like the one that follow in the attached diagram, warning!!! nothing is drawn to scale, will work more on my plans tonight after work.

My idea is this, have the mobo and all other pertinent components in one compartment. Then... in a seperate compartment underneath the 1st one is would house the power supply (ultra x-connect 500w modular) and the radiator (probably a black ice extreme 3). Now i know, blah blah blah heater core blah blah blah, thank you, i do know the advantages of one and disadvanteges, i have done too much research on the subject and have decided to go with a radiator. but thanks anyway again. Probably will mount the pump to the bottom of the 5.25" cage upside down and pump directly into the rad then video card then proc then chipset. The diagram is still incomplete though, no power or data cables drawn in yet (dang limited ms paint!) and obviously is limited to 2 dimensions. My inspiration for this was a review i read on a case that you can buy that almost did this same thing except for no rad of course. Would probably put plexi on bottom so that i can see the top o the p.s. and have a side window as well as one on the cd-top too! Mostly a fan of uv components but not led fans... too... tacky?!

Anyway the short of it is i want to know what you guys think of the project, my main goals are temperature effeciency and kinda silent. Not a huge noise prblem though just under like 50db. (No more vantec tornados for me thanks!)

Maybe what would be a good case to start with and how would i go about this project?

Want a good case but nothing really expensive in case i mess it up!

By the way p.s. would be mounted upside down so intake from under case and out the back or could be intake from inside as well.. more too look at that way anyway!

Components are as follows
Stuff i already have
Maze 4 GPU
Maze 3 CPU w/ socket hold down
dd12v-d4
all tygon 1/2" id tube

dfi ultra n-force II ultra-b
athlon xp 2200+
1gb ocz pc-3200 platinum rev. 2
120gb ide wd hard rive
dvd burner
ultra 500w x connect

stuff i need to get
3 120mm rad black ice extreme hopefully
chipset block (maze 4 or z)
maybe swiftech storm if money goes that way!
fillport of some sort
misc tubing and accessories elbows and t's and y's

thanks a lot you guys!

oh by the way dark green is mobo, red is where power goes to and from, bllue is wc stuff and green is date cables and where they're off to/from
