Default Compaq Case

does anybody know how to remove the HDD out of this type of Compaq Case?



one side comes off easy but the other side doesn't have any screws or anything

Rofl, I smashed that keyboard few weeks ago cause I was bored.

umm your answer: You just take the side off and unscrew the HD from the bay or flip some things, my mom has the same case lol.

Compaq is tricky with there cases. There should be some plastic thing that you need to press or pull to get the drives to slide out. Read the manual, it will tell you how to do it.

Throw it on the ground really hard and then the HD will come out after that is completed then build a real machine

dont know if thats what he is looking for...there should be screws on the back towards the edges of the case. its probably one big "shell" where the left, top, and right pannels are all connected. Unscrew everything at the back of the case. Then looking at the back of the case, pull towards you to get the one big peice off. The rest is up to you, i dont know how the drives will be mounted. you will probably have to unscrew 2-4 screws or clips of some kind

i have the same case.. my second reg actually...
now, you have a piece of plastic (mine is green) covering the screw
compaq made it tricky
you actually have to break off the part that's covering the screw to get access to it, like a clip.
last time i thought it will void the warrenty so i found a exact knife and unscrewed the HDD, took me like 30min to do 2 of them.
