Do any of you remember my thread on making a fan controller?
__________________Well ive been quiet all this time cause i have made it At least the electronics anyway. Its a pwm setup, with a 3000W mosfet :P its a 60v*50amps max huge transistor. I controll the whole thing with a 10k potentioemeter, if anyone understands what im tlaking about and is curious.\Now its time to mod my 5.25bay cover once again ![]() i already have a military style rocker switchon it controlling my uv, well now i jsut bought a very cool looking chrome knob, with a blue led in it. Looks awesome. Going to mount it in the middle. On the side is my uv switch, and on the other side im putting my switches for the controller. The way its built is to support one up to 3000w motor. It in reality cna probably barely support a 300w one, since the pcb tracks are not very large, and will burn off the poor lil pcb if i let more then 300w thru them. But still, 300w!? thats enough for like 10 powerful fans! Anyway, the design was made for one fan, but i am making another pcb board, with molexes and 3 pin connectors on it for more fans. Each 'port' (one set of molex+3pin) is controlled with one switch, of which so far i have bought 4. All the fans will be controlled by one and the same controller, so theyr speed will be the same. But i intend to use this controller for my w/c fans, since i will have many of em, since they go inside my table, which has crap loads of room, and acts like a soundproof room. Ive also found a good looking 120cm muffin fan in the same surplus 'junkyard' shop i bought the rest. Tested it on my already operational controller, and holy ****! Its a 12v * 1.2 A fan, and holy crap, must push like 60-70 cfm. Its pretty thick - 5.5 cm in thickness. On Half power, wont stand on its side on a flat surface. U cant look into it with open eyes, Mine just badly water and close whether i want to or not. Ive no idea how to measure the cfm, but the fan is made by jmc i believe. Ill try to find em. Now im gona go work on the side panel ill keep u posted. Tell me what u think ![]()

What a good idea. I never knew you were doing that
__________________ . That kit is great...and I will not buy the kit, because I found all the parts in an electronics catalogue for like 10 cents. The MOSFET costs $0.15. Really cheap.

Dude, its not a kit lol. The mosfet u found cant cost 0.15$ if it really is a 3000w mosfet. Mine is about 5cm*4cm as in the base of the actual transistor. The legs are thicker then psu wires. Trust me stuff doesnt cost 15 cents lol. Anyway, i found the fan i bought! and it look slike i made a very good investment! bought it for 19 bucks, but its pushes 130cfm at 45.5 db! Crazy ass fan peepl - heres the link http://www.jmcproducts.com/products/...120x38_12H.pdf
__________________Its crazy i tell u. No u cant really see any pics, cuz i dont have camera. Might get one for dad's birthday. But for now, i can only explain things to you. I might take some pics with my 30mm old OLD camera, and then scan them in... but that takes time lol. ill think bout it. Anyway, looks awesome so far. ill keep u posted.

hey n-sanity have you looked at musketeer 2?
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813999155 It looks like the gauges are sautered onto the board... Would it be safe for me to removed the gauges and sauter some wire inits place so that I can position the gauges were I want?
