Default Using an airbrush, picking airbrush paint

I just got a airbrush today and the dude at michaels said to get this paint, I checked it out on the internet, and turns out this paint is for glass.....and is transparent......im like ***? I told him I was painting plastic and maybe metal but jeez he was dumb. So could this be the reason why paint isnt coming out of my airbrush? I have everything set up correctly as far as I can tell from the instructions AND I can feel the propellant coming out, but the paint isnt being pulled up out of the chamber thingy, does anyone know alot about paints/airbrushes?

Ait brushes require the paints be thined excessivly and applied in many thin coats!
If the viscosity is to thick it can't be drawn up to the nozel/cap! The siphon effect can not overcome the thick fluid!
Test the spray with just thinner, if it sprays with raw thinner, the paint is to thick! If it don't the cap/nozel assembly may not be sealing correctly ... mine had a little PITA O-ring that was easily cut if not placed perfectly... mind you this was long ago. I learned using a lil vasaline works wonders to hold it in place! No vasaline wont contaminate the paint, it's actually the original foundation for paint flexadditives!

yea he is right.. you need to buy a big can of thinner and try thinning it alot

if not it will be very chunky and require alot of sanding

LMAO, never mind guys, I got mine to work and boy does it work great, I did a single coat on my airsoft gun cause the handle is wood grain and its got an orange tip, man the paint is as smooth as glass and looks downright sexy, I got glass paint so its transparent so you can still see the wood grain but its black! totally awesome, I also did my MX510 black but you can kinda see the outline of the pattern on it, overall im really impressed and thanks for the help, I couldnt reply because my mouse is drying so i gave up and stole my brother's

It wasnt spraying cause I think the air pressure wasnt on high enough and I foudn some 'gunk' in the nozzle, I took it out and its awesome. It costed 23 dollars at Michaels! plus 11ish dollars for the can of propellant, the paint is like 4 dollars also, very inexpensive and easy to use.

EDIT/// maybe I should do a user review LMAO but also no pics cause i dont have a camera, but imagine a MX700 painted black, on that one though, I made the paint not smooth and made it look grainy so its really grippy for CSS cause my mouse sometimes slips out of my hand, once I threw it accross the room on accident
