Default wiring leds

would this work?

wiring 4, 3.0 volt leds to the 4pin molex like this:

M---------LED------LED\
O...............................|
L...............................|
E...............................|
X---------LED------LED/

it should work, right... 4 * 3 = 12v

3v LED's ?

i swear they need less volts than that to operate to a good standard.

I built an Operationl Amplifier with a LED aswell and it only used 2 1.5v cells.
