thank you it wasnt as good as i wanted it but i thought for the first time working with acrylic it ended up pretty well

Looks good, you did well.

If I may be so bold: The issue with the cut not being straight was due to the cut-in that you did in the lower-right corner.

Once you made that cut, the guide-edge lost its rigidity. At first this will not make a difference, but as you move the guide and the blade cuts away from the cut-in the piece will start to flex and move... (respectfully spoken).

In this situation, a pilot hole is prudent. It allows for a "picture-frame" cut wherein the acrylic edge will retain the rigidity.

But like I said, "Good job".

im not saying your idea isnt good, in fact it is excellent with that edge guide, its just that my edge guide wasnt long enough to reach some cuts, and my edges since i basically the piece of acrylic i had was used as a display stand that goes into the slat walls, so i have to splice the edges off to make it a square so my edges where not straight so i decided to free hand, and it turned out alot better then i thought after sanding..and sanding...

But still syrillian your an excellent mod-er and i will never reach your tier

I know of the problem that you speak (length of guide) as I have run into it before. There are some work-arounds should you ever be interested.

In the final analysis there are numerous ways to achieve the same outcome, but some peeps are more inclined to one way or another... they all work, it just depends upon the person.
