Well I have been searching for days trying to find these online. Does anybody know where I could get them, preferably with tailed ends. If not can someone provide with the wire gauge that may be needed? Pic for those who may not know what I'm talking about.

Any other places that sell these would be appreciated.

you can get the housings and the pins and make the wires, they are called "KK" housings, but its a bit of a pain. I was making my own on The Intelligence, but then decided to cut some ends out of an old case. If you dont have an old case to steal from, and you dont want to make your own, they sell sets of tester kits that have a power button, reset button, hdd led, power led, and speaker all together on short wire for easy mobo hookup an testing. you could cut those and butt-splice/solder longer wires on. Or you could find an old case and theive those
![]() for KK's try performance-pcs.com and frozencpu.com wire is thinner than 20 guage awg, prolly 22 or 24 (stranded copper)

I was thinking about getting the test kit, but a bit more than I wanted to spend on them. Hopefully I don't pull my hair out trying to put these together.

Sorry, but this was the best I could find:
__________________http://cgi.ebay.com/Lot-10-mini-Mome...ayphotohosting They're pricey as hell, but what are you going to do? They are all power switches designed to be put inside a case and connected to the motherboard. You can always chop the ends off and solder them to any existing connectors that you have (if the reason you are looking for these is that your current ones broke, that is). My best suggestion would be to check out the local mom and pop stores you might have in your area. We have a place called Snare Systems down the street that does repairs and stuff, so they have a lot of these types of scraps lying around. If you can't find what you're looking for, PM me and I'll see if I can get some from that shop and ship them to you.

I'm going to do a mod converting the original Xbox to a PC. Pretty much exactly like this one. So I want to preserve the look of the Xbox as original as possible. Keeping the front power assembly and just rewiring to fit the ODD and the motherboard.
There is a couple around here. I'll have to call and ask if any are available.

You need 0.100" non-polarized connector housings (the KK housings are actually a bit larger and have latches to lock into the header). They are listed in Jameco Cat 284 Page 62 (check inside the green box on the lower right). The pins crimp on to 22-26Ga wire. For connecting to the MB headers you need female pins; but they also sell male pins, which could come in handy for making extensions for existing cabling.
