I plan on purchasing a Foxconn BloodRage motherboard with my Core i7 build and would like to get into modding.
The first few things I wan't to do is simple: 1) Take out every single blue fan and replace with UV Red ones 2) Surround the northbridge cooler with small (1mm or smaller) LEDs I think 1mm sounds reasonable for a red LED surrounding the northbridge. (Ok so maybe not a case mod but still) I live in the UK and need suggestions on where I could buy and strip of LEDs (Like those found in fans, a long cable with LEDs at certain intervals) My second question is, how do I wire them into my PC? Thanks to all those who help, ~ Toonshorty

The only fans I could think of that are UV red are the AC ryan ones. http://www.acryan.com/index.php?opti...d=19&Itemid=83. I found this UK shop from google for leds. http://www.onestopledshop.co.uk/ The easiest way to connect to your PC is via a molex. There are guides on google.

2mm is standard unless you go with surface mount, which isn't always that bad.
When I lived there, I bought from Rapid and Maplin - Rapid was much better and had more selection for pure electronics bits, but Maplin had a good selection of other bits and pieces as well. ..a
