Default PSU at top or bottom

Hello all. I haven't done any significant work to my PRiaGH (see signature link) mod in a long time, but I have been slowly sanding down the acrylic pieces in my spare time to get them to fit better.
I'm at a point where I have to decide the arrangement of the PSU and motherboard: Should I put the PSU at the top like standard cases or should I put it at the bottom like Antec and some other cases? I have heard some people complain that cable management is harder because the motherboard power cables can't reach from behind the mobo tray, but in my case the motherboard will be mounted directly to the side panel.

PSU on the bottom keeps the case from falling over at lan parties , but then cables can get quite messy since you have to pull them all upwards to your mobo and stuff

Overall I just find it easier to leave it on top since the cables get less messy

keep in mind that the case is totally from scratch and I can build it to make cable management easier (like aluminum ducts from PSU to mobo connector area and such). I was thinking of making a compartment of sorts next to the PSU (whether on top or bottom) to put all of the unused cables.

If I may add: make certain that your AUX-ATX cable will reach from the bottom of the case to the top of the case. Many times the cable will reach, but it will need to be strung taught against/over the expansion slot components; easily avoided with an extension that can be purchased for a few dollars.

Too bad I can't just have a second psu at the top for the mobo connectors
I guess I could do it on the bottom and then buy extensions if I need them

If this case is COMPLETELY from scratch then I would say mount it at the top then mount wide feet tot he bottom of the case so i does not topple over. Just a suggestion though.

Be different - stick it in the middle!

Seriously, though, I can vouch for the cable length being an issue for proper cable management with the PSU on the bottom. I have a few extenders going in my CM690.
