Hmm, 3 cans of each should be plenty.

There are rivet guides on here somewhere. You put a 1/8" drill bit in your drill and drill into the rivets to get rid of them. Then you put new rivets in with a rivet gun.

You would need to use screws/bolts but I wouldn't recommend it. I got a rivet gun for $15 and like 60 rivets for $6. So I would spend $21 and then you will get a lot nicer of a paint job.

not to mention the screw heads, and bolts, will take up more room and may not allow the panels to go back together as they were.
when pop rivetting a painted part, do yourself a favor and get a thin piece of plastic (like a credit card or slightly larger) and put a hole in the center of it (larger than the rivet head). Pop the rivets thru that, because when the shanks snap (pop) the gun nose can jump and scratch your paint. I demonstrated this technique during reassembly of Jessie's Gumdrop (see pics in worklog)

Another quick question....Do we need the sandable primer to go over the self etching or would regular work ok if your sanding it? This is just a general question to anyone that knows, not just the TC.

Is it necessary to derivet it and stuff? After a case is assembled, I don't feel like anyone could see any cracks that might not have been fully painted.
