These are some crude blueprints for a new case I want to make lol, this is the top view:
__________________![]() Basically I want to make a case to where instead of unscrewing crap to get the mobo out, you use a sliding tray which is why it shows the mobo kinda sticking out (wont be like that ALL the time )this next pic shows what would be on the bottom of the case which are the mounts for 5.25in drive bays and where the PSU will lie: ![]() this last pic shows what the outside of the case will look like, for better transfer of heat, there would be a 120mm fan in the center of the case over the cpu fan to draw the heat out more efficiently: ![]() Well, how would you plug in the PSU plugs and such into the mobo you ask? my idea is to have slots big enough for the 20-pin and 4-pins to slide through on the side of the case .Whatcha think? oh and I havent decided to do it with plexiglass or sheet metal.

It makes sence. Make one with plexiglass first then try sheet metal if the plexi one works out good.

Well, if it works out exactly how im wanting, I plan on putting a patent on it and makin craploads of cash

Uh... You will need a lot of slack wiring for the motherboard to slide out with it plugged in, and when you put it back the slack might just hang over motherboard. If you plan on taking the top off unplugging everything then sliding it out I guess it works but it is kind of pointless to open it up, then slide it out, why not just open it up and do it. Also where you plan on the connectors for everything? It makes sence if you plan on a metal panel on the back that the motherboard slides into when it is in usual position.

I would put a fan duct and a fan directly on top of the CPU, and then 1-2 fans in the front, 2-3 at the back. Make sure you secure your mobo correctly and firmly, you don't want it to drop while you're playing CS:S

SO...you mean stick a fan duct over the cpu fan and connect it to the 120mm I wanna put on the case? think thatll add for better heat dissapation? yeah I was thinking about doing an 80mm to draw heat away from the gpu...but I dunno if I should.

Have that side fan blowing on your CPU, with a fan duct of course.

its not a side fan
__________________ , its a top fan , its going to be sitting not up, but laying flat , so i guess 4 fans total then...1 on top, 3 the sides...

If you're planning on putting a monitor on top (by the look of that fan, probably not, but anyways), make sure the inside has some good support, you don't want that LCD of yours fall onto the CPU
