Default Plasti Dip(help silence your case)

Anyone have experience using Plasti Dip?

I was at HD looking for U channel, of course they didn't have any.
Thought I'd get some spray paint to paint my cases, saw the Plasti Dip and thought..hmm I'll try that.

Anyone used it, any tips?

I've used it on the handles of pliers and hammers. Very rubbery and makes for a nice grip.

I've never thought about it for a computer based application, but I've used it on a flexible rubber piece with good results. It flexes very well without any signs of cracking or peeling off. If used on a case I would imagine you would have no problems at all.

the only problem I see is how to mold it to the perfect consisten shape for a u-channel. if you check mcmaster.com and look up the u-channels (use neoprene, non marking type) Its the same stuff that case modding sites sells

I think the name says it all, DIP. Too thick to spray.

LOL

It's in aerosol form, spray can

Should I prep the surface, other than a good cleaning?

Have to make a trip to HD, never seen this. Could be useful.
