Default Thermaltake M9 Modding

Thermaltake M9 - Newegg Link

Hello folks. I just finished painting the inside chassis of my computer case completely black. I'm pretty excited for it because it looks very nice. Only problem is I need to get a window for it and it'll be more awesome.

But for the time being, this is the best I can do. I don't have enough tools to make a window on the case. I also want to put a top 140mm fan, but thats probably not gonna happen anytime soon.

Anyway point is, I have some pictures of what I've done so far, and here they are. Inside and out. And I apologize for the bad picture quality. I don't have a very good camera.

Top view, revealing logo and my brand stickers

Top view from the front. Shows I/O ports, power button, reset button, etc.

Bottom of the front, shows fan and my CD drive.

Picture of inside the case. Notice the inside walls usually are a gray color, now black. This is my first case mod.

Shows toolless 5.5" drive bays. They work very well. Easy and efficient. Just turn the nob in front 90 degrees to the left and pull it out. The nob falls out frequently, but its easy to fix.

If you have any mods done or are doing for the Thermaltake M9. I would love to see what you've done.

An easy and effective mod is to grab a thermaltake icage and put it in 3 of your unused 5.25" bays. As the cover plates are mesh, it will give you additional air intake (and it comes with a thermaltake 120mm blue LED fan) so it will look spiffy as well. I have used Icages in many builds.

Thanks I'll have to check that out soon. I've seen them before and I've heard it works nicely. Thanks.

Also, anyone with suggestions I'll gladly take them. And before anyone says it, yes I know, I need to cable manage. I'm terrible at it in the first place, but I'll get to it eventually.
