Default Funny idea?

Hey, wouldnt it work for you to nail nails into ur wall and hang ur mobo, drives, psu, and other junk up there and finish it off with a water cooling system, so no fans (so no dust), that seems pretty awesome to me ^^ except maybe the fire hazard.

i mean for the mobo anyway, just hang the holes where the screws would go onto the nail

Hmm, as long as it wasn't grounded and it was in those holes you may be good. Pretty funny idea

This idea isn't just funny, it's totally revolutionary
Yes you could hand your mobo on the wall, but you will get some problems too...
the gfx card will be quite heavy;
the PSU needs to be mounted too, and the rest of those hardware, like HDD;
the fans will sound louder since now it's caseless;
it's no longer EMI/ESD shielded, therefor damage could be done easily.

I like the idea, try it out with an old computer

heat rises so you wouldnt want to mount it too high, get on a ladder and stand up the top and notice the difference, you could mount it near an airconditioner but, maybe you could test the temp difference if you put ya rig on top of a cupboard or something high.

heat does rise in a place where there isn't too much wind, if you just mount fans on both side of the motherboard, one intake on exhaust, you won't have a problem.

what fans? i think there would be only 2-3 fans and the sound of the HDD spinning, well that is if you're watercooling.
