Default Powder Coated Another Case :D

Hello everyone! I thought I would show you all my latest creation. I just found a new powder that I wanted to try out on my wifes case. She has a Sigma case that comes with a 500w PSU that is all silver. If you have seen any of my other pages, you know that I hate silver lol. So it had to change. I found a powder called Black Magic and I thought I would give it a try. According to the pics on the site, it was a Satin Black. I didn't want to use Flat Black nor did I want to use a High Gloss on the inside of the case. So I decided to order a couple pounds to try it out.

The first thing that you have to do is take the case apart. Everything that will melt at 400*F. So I took it apart on the kitchen table just to make the wife mad . I'm kidding lol. But man did I have a mess on my hands when I was done. Anyway, here are the pics and I will explain as I go along.

Here is the pic of the computer with all the hardware out of it. I tried to put it on the table neat but that just didn't happen. I wanted to get it out to the garage to try out that new powder.

Here you can see all the plastic keepers that have to come out in order to get it in the oven. Don't ask where the other card holder went, it wasn't there in the pic, but it was there in the end lol.

Fortunately, the mobo tray is removable

Here is some pics of the PSU. Because of the way that they put it together, I had to break out the iron to take the sockets out of it. This is not a big deal and I took these pics for more of a way to know where they go when I put it back together lol.

This is the iron that I use. It has to be the best one that I have ever used. It's about 5 years old now and works like new.

Now, if you want to see what all is involved in the actual coating process, click on the link in my sig. I didn't think that I needed to take all those pics again. If you have any questions on any of this, you can ask and I will answer .

Moving on...

Here is the pic of all the parts except the top and a support bar. Those are in the oven at the time of the pic. I just wanted to get a head start on the case and putting all the rivets back in.

And here is what the finished computer looks like. Don't say anything about the wiring, I plan on doing some sleeving on the cables before I do a final install. I just wanted to get it posted up on here so that all of you can see what the color looks like.

Well, tell me what you think about the color. Again, this is called Black Magic. In the link in my sig, I used Black Wrinkle. So you can see that this one is a lot more smooth looking. There is just enough shine I think to add to the CC's that are in the case. Again, if you have any questions just ask. Thanks for looking

Okay, I did finally get the wm done on the case. It's not the greatest job out there but it's a whole lot better than it was. It is post 37 on page 4.

Wow, that looks awesome. I'm a big fan of all-blacked-out cases. Excellent work.

I just really hate silver lol. I just think that the black inside sets off what is actually inside there.
