Hey guys, finally got around to completing this mod as proposed in my original case mod. (Link in my sig)

Today I spent the last couple of hours cutting, soldering, and heatshrinking so I could finally have this done and out of the way.

Started off with a few tools:

The right Leads:

And then work:





And now a video to show it off: (Excuse quality of acting skills, and it's a bad camera.)

Unfortunately there was some minor case damage sustained, (the scratches are old) I'm talking about some slightly melted pieces of the case front panel.
Very small mind, taught me how careful you have to be with soldering iron, and where it rests.

question...do you have all the fans running on one single molex connection ? or have you wired multiple connections together??

They are all wired onto a single Molex. I've thought about overload issues before but it's been running solid like this since Christmas so I think I'm safe.
I never really gave it much thought as I wanted to get this done quickly without further complications arising. (Couldn't be bothered nutting it out how I would connect it properly.)
Why, do you foresee an issue, or wondering if you could do it with you HX-620?

Nice mod, Reaper!

I don't really mind sleeping with my fans on, even though they are LED. But, if the day comes that I can no longer bear it I shall look to this thread for my answer!

I have slept with them on when I stress tested and sleeping was the only time I could spare, but it can be annoying.
If you want specific details on what/how I did (it) just ask.
I was more inclined to show the results rather than the means, but I will elaborate if you would like.

Here is an image I found to be rather helpful for wiring. (It's accurate, I followed it. Only, the negative from the light strip I wired directly onto the "Ground" pin on the switch, same thing.)

Well ive got a few molex connection wires spare and wouldnt mind giving this a go

with the A900, it lights up my room something cronic so its impossible to sleep, which means i cant leave things downloading over-night.

the only issue i think i will have is my Zalman cooler which is a blue LED fan, but thats not too bad i spose.

Not sure if this is what you were looking for, but I just ordered a fan controller today from PCCG (chances are you might have bought your switch from there, I know they sell them!) that might be what you are after:

Scythe Kaze Master Ace 5.25" Fan Controller Black

Bit pricey, but one of the reasons I picked it up was because it supposedly allows you to turn fans off completely. I'll give you a yell once it gets here if it helps.
