Default New Case Mod

Hey guys,

I'm looking to cut two holes in the bottom of my case for two 120mm fans. I don't know much about case modding but what would be the best way to cut the metal?

Thanks,
GearShifter

Make sure you dont mess up the holes or it could be a wasted case on your hands.

Take your time

Yea, I'm contemplating on doing it or not..I'm not really sure. I know someone at a metal machine shop that can do it for me, I think that'll be the best way to do it.

Cutting holes in the bottom would be dumb IMO, unless your case is elevated.

My case IS elevated around an inch or so, the fans will be on the inside of the case to give more space.

Yeah, make sure the fans are on the inside, that way there's actually air to pull on the bottom. I was thinking about doing a mod like this, but decided against it considering I didn't have the right tools to do it with.

I suggest against it. You'd be far better off mounting 1 in the bottom and 1 in the top to create air current. Remember that you want equal intake/exhaust. Mounting 2 large intake fans without adding any extra exhaust isn't the best solution.
