Default Antec 900 Wiring Mod Suggestions

Hey guys, I have an Antec 900 and a PSU with some pretty big wires. I have a 750W version of this I think..regardless they look the same.

I don't know too much about PSU's but I know that mine will have 3-4, 4 pin molex connectors on one wire. Is this normal? If I only use 1 of the connectors on that wire, can I cut the rest of the connectors off? I don't really care about down the road whether or not I'll need more connectors because it will give me an excuse to buy a modular PSU. I think that if I can cut off the excess connectors, I will save a ****ton of space, and make wiring a alot easier.

I have an EVGA 750i FTW board, anyone else out there have this board + case that can suggest a way to route the power/hdd led/reset switch cable because it seems rather short...

And lastly, I've read a bunch of logs of other people's wiring mods but I am wondering if there is an actual, step by step guide on how I might go about doing it? Most of the logs just seem to be various pictures and descriptions of the pictures..

Thanks in advance!

Ive cut off extras in the past with no problems. On my 900 I had to extend the connecters to get them to reach my MB while hidden. Good luck

Oh, one more thing, can I cut a hole in the bottom of the case and mount the PSU upside down so the wires will be closer to the back wall?

ya PSU can be mounted in either orientation. Usually so the fan is in the case and not against a panel. What is your comp sitting on though because that fan sucks air into the PSU and exhaust outta the back. Might suck lots of dust if you are on carpet or something.

I have it sitting on a piece of wood right now, but I'm going to move it on top of my desk once I get it looking a a little nicer.

ya the feet on the antec 900 is only about 1/4" so maybe you could buy some feet that stand taller if it becomes an issue. Like roller wheels for example.

This will give you tips/pics on all the mods you probably want or give you ideas on what you can do to mod the 900, including flipping the psu, flipping the hard drives, water cooling, different feet, slim dvd drive, etc. Good luck

Get a Modular PSU and save yourself the hassle of cutting off connectors. Also, at least this way you don't screw your PSU in the ass and also make it unsellable.
